Wild Olive Wood Apple Trays

Kenyan artisans hand carve these sweet trays from wild olive wood, a richly grained and carefully managed hardwood found throughout East Africa. Each apple-shaped tray features a stem with leaf handle.

Sold singly, in two sizes. Because this is a handcrafted item, each will vary slightly.

Care instructions: Hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry. Rub wood lightly with mineral or olive oil before storing.

We work with representatives with Kamba artists to obtain these hand-carved works of beauty derived from the olive wood tree. The artisans benefit greatly from the sale of their works, with marked improvements being seen both for the individual and the community.
