This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.

These beautiful sculptures are handcrafted in Kenya using locally sourced jacaranda wood. Available in two sizes, each giraffe is carved to be perched on a ledge, features unique coloration from jacaranda's subtle wood grain and finished with hand painted spots.

Sold individually, available in two sizes. Small measures 2.5”L x 1.5”W x 6.5”H. Large measures 3”L x 1.75”W x 8”H. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, some variation may occur.

Under the umbrella of Nairobi's Gikomba carving cooperative society, talented Kenyan artisans work on various artistic endeavors from individual stalls, using wood sourced legally by the cooperative. Richard's small team of carvers carve jacaranda in these whimsical giraffe sculptures, finished with a hand-applied stained giraffe print.
