Soapstone is mined in Kisii county in southwestern Kenya. We work with three different artisan groups in and around Nairobi who carve, polish and paint the stone to create beautiful pieces.

Kenyan artisans portray iconic trumpeting African elephants in a simplified sculpture with its trunk raised. Dyed to a deep pink and polished to a smooth finish, these sculptures display beautifully alone or in a parade.
