About the Artisans:

Soapstone is mined in Kisii county in southwestern Kenya. We work with three different artisan groups in and around Nairobi who carve, polish and paint the stone to create beautiful pieces.

Discounted as a set, these extra large floor baskets are woven in Ghana using tough elephant grass. Each basket includes a set of sturdy woven handles for easy transport. The three baskets nest together for shipping and when not in use.

The baskets are tightly woven and can stand up to years of usage while still remaining beautiful. Can be rinsed and reshaped with cool water as needed.

With a snug fitting lid, our warming baskets are handwoven in Senegal by a master Wolof craftswoman. They are a perfect way to present baked goods to loved ones, to create a memorable gift basket of your own design, or a stylish way to tuck away items.
