About the Artisans:

In the Binga District of northern Zimbabwe, skilled BaTonga women craft iconic baskets from locally harvested palm leaves and wild twigs. The BaTonga people once farmed fertile land that was flooded by the damming of Lake Kariba, so weavers displaced across the lake demonstrate similar yet clearly distinctive styles.

Featuring a navy checkerboard diamond pattern, these limited edition navy elephant grass Bolga baskets are perfect to hold houseplants or to create beautiful storage. Handwoven out of stiff elephant grass, these eco-conscious and indispensable planter baskets stand the test of time and can also be easily cleaned and re-shaped with water.

This petite hamper features monochromatic silver and white diamonds on a black background, and is ideal for storing blankets and pillows. Handcrafted by skilled Senegalese weavers using plastic strips woven onto dried cattail stalks. Includes braided handles and a fitted lid.
