Often called "thumb pianos," these melodic instruments feature a West African scene and traditional design elements on their wooden surface. Each kalimba is fashioned on a circular slice of a recycled tin can, which helps to amplify the kalimba's round, ringing sounds.
We refer to these handmade kalimbas as "fantasy kalimbas" because, when played, their heavenly tones and West African landscape art quickly transport us to a land far away. The kalimba is a great gift for music lovers or collectors of recycled crafts, with each kalimba being completely unique in appearance and tone.
Measures 6" deep x 2.5" tall, though size may vary slightly.
Made from recycled tin cans, metal, wood.
