Rainbow Colors Recycled Flip Flop Bangles

Swahili Modern

FFLOP24B

  • Eco-friendly and fair trade, these upcycled bangles are handcrafted from discarded flip flops that have been found on the beaches of East Africa. Once a source of pollution in Kenya, the flip flops are power-washed, glued, and carved - then transformed into unique jewelry. Colors will vary, depending on material used.

You'll look and feel great knowing that these bangles support two worthy causes! Measures 4" outer diameter, 2.5" inner diameter, 2.5" tall.

  • The Flipflop concept started in 1997 on the north coast of Kenya where UniquEco was created. Local women, young men, and children would collect this washed up rubbish from as far afield as Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China to make toys, art, and jewelry.
