This substantial elephant sculpture is made from hundreds of discarded flip flops that have been hand-formed, carved, and cemented together by artisans in Kenya.
These statement sculptures are a colorful and eco-friendly way to recycle flip flops that would otherwise litter urban Nairobi or sit in landfills. We work directly with a small co-op of Kenyan artisans who collect, clean and transform foam footwear into bold modern safari art sculptures.
This sculpture is one-of-a-kind and you will receive the elephant shown in these photos. Measures 45" long (tail to tip of trunk); 22" tall (body) and 33" tall (to tip of trunk); and 16" wide. Recommended for indoor display only.
Additional shipping fees may be required after purchase due to the oversized nature of this item. Questions about shipping? Visit our Shipping FAQ.
In Kenya, artisans convert discarded flip flops into one-of-a-kind art. Operating from a small Nairobi workshop, the dedicated group offers employment and creative opportunities while also keeping this reusable material from littering urban areas or clogging up landfills.
