This hand-carved wooden elephant sculpture, by Richard of the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, adds the earthy, exotic feel of safari lodge decor to your home. The natural wood is left undyed and is accented with burnt detailing.
The large elephant on the stand is 10"L x 12.5"T to trunk x 4" wide and the small is 7"L x 6"T x 3" W. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, some variation may occur.
We work with an amazing wood cooperative in Kenya called the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative that consists of both young and old men who practice woodworking and painting in a open-air workshop. This environmentally responsible group takes great care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
