Statuesque Wooden Jacaranda Giraffe Sculptures from Kenya

These statuesque sculptures are hand-carved in Kenya from large pieces of sustainably harvested jacaranda wood. Each sculpture includes unique facial features and a beautifully hand-painted body.

Approximate sizes: [Small] 7"L x 5"W x 24"; [Medium] 8"L x 6"W x 36"; [Large] 11"L x 9"W x 48".

Variation is expected as these giraffes are hand-carved; each one is unique.

About the Artisans:

We work with an amazing co-op in Kenya, the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, a group of woodcarvers of all ages who work in an open-air workshop in Nairobi. This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.

About Shipping:

Shipping for the large-size giraffe requires an oversized box. If you are in Alaska, Hawaii, or purchasing more than 1 large sculpture, additional shipping fees will be required. After purchase, we will contact you via email regarding the additional shipping charges.

We can provide a shipping quote at any time during the ordering process. Please email us at info@swahilimodern.com with your full shipping address to get started.

Once you have placed your order and agreed to the shipping cost, we will send you a PayPal invoice for the additional shipping charges. The total will subtract any shipping you have already paid during the checkout process.
