Sanctuary Art for Disabled Children

  • These special paper holiday ornaments are handcrafted by Sanctuary Artists of Kenya. Each ornament is lovingly assembled by mothers of disabled children and proceeds go towards rehabilitation equipment for their children.

The artists use local waste vegetation such as banana tree bark , sugar cane, shed eucalyptus bark, nettles, and pumpkin leaves. These get beaten into a pulp along with old cotton rags and made into sheets to form paper.

    Measures 4.5"L x 7"T (9" to top of loop).

  • Sanctuary Artists are a group of mothers of children with disability who have been trained and experienced in cardboard art and design, and paper making techniques since 2010.
