Each Juju Hat is handcrafted in Cameroon with natural feathers and stitched onto a woven raffia support. Bamileke hats have been used for hundreds of years in Cameroonian festivities and ceremonies, where the headdress denote power and wealth for the wearer. Today, these breathtaking works of art are often used as wall decorations, though their materials and means of construction remains much the same.

These unique mirrors are handmade in Kenya using African seed beads. Each mirror features beautiful detailing, including braided fine leather.

The Kisinyunye Beading Cooperative is based in the village of Ngong, near Nairobi, and represents a handful of talented Maasai ladies who specialize in traditional beaded art and decorative items. Their product offering is small at this time, but extremely high quality.

Congo raffia, a traditional textile of the Kuba people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is woven from the natural fiber of the raffia palm. The fabric has a rustic texture that is highlighted by the hand-appliqued, traditional designs. The seamstresses at Marvelous Batik in Tanzania create beautiful decorative pillows from this uniquely African textile. Each pillow is crafted to feature the bold, hand-appliqued geometric designs of the Congo raffia.
The pillows include a high-quality pillow insert, side zipper, and backing of dark cotton. While pillows will be similar to the photograph shown, no two pillows are the the same.

Marvelous Batik is a workshop in Tanzania that betters the lives of at-risk young women by teaching them new skills, helping them to be self-sustaining, and providing basic necessities. Run by a compassionate woman named Flotea Masawe, the cooperative is nationally recognized for their production of batik and embroidered cotton textiles. Pillows, table runners, duvet covers, bags, and curtain panels are just a few of the items currently exported by this talented group of women.

Designed to showcase flowers as if they were an ostrich's plumes, these handmade African sculptures are are welded outside of Nairobi using recycled oil drums and scrap metal. Each ostrich is crafted from the ground up and exhibits its own unique characteristics.
The sculptures can be displayed inside or outside of the home and are one-of-a-kind. Because they are made of metal, the ostrich planters will develop a patina when exposed to the elements.

Moses and his small workshop of craftsmen build their own welding machines out of copper coil, tape, steel rod, and a sheet metal housing in order to create these spectacular metal works of art. Moses began his artistic career making furniture, but quickly switched to sculpture after an interested European buyer created a demand for his works abroad.

Welders by trade, these talented men use modern machinery to create representations of old world Africa. Other local materials are often used in their sculptures, including bone, stones, and fabric.

Hand-carved from fragrant sandalwood, this sculpture depicts a four-person family as they head to market. The sculpture is a stunning statement piece at nearly 4 feet tall.
The sculpture features the traditional carving style of Mozambican art. African fabric detailing creates the mother's headdress and baby sling, adding color and texture to the sculpture.
