These hand-carved wooden elephant sculptures add the earthy, exotic feel of safari lodge decor to your home. These wall mounts are carved from jacaranda in Kenya using bone as tusks, then dyed to a rich deep brown with a leather hanging strap affixed to the back.
The small hanging measures 6"L x 4"W x 7"T and the medium measures 7"L x 4"W x 9"T. Each mask is handmade, so slight variations will occur. Trunk may be curled differently than pictured.
We work with an amazing wood cooperative in Kenya called the Kikomba Wood Carving Cooperative that consists of both young and old men who practice woodworking and painting in a open-air workshop. This environmentally responsible group takes great care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
