These large, authentic masks, hand-carved in Burkina Faso for agricultural ceremonies to promote a healthy harvest, will make a dramatic statement in your home!

The masks' geometric design is used to draw people's attention. When worn at night performances around a fire, the effect is quite dramatic. The handle at the bottom of each mask is where the wearer holds the mask during the ceremony.

The mask is affixed to the wearer's head with raffia through the holes on the bottom of the mask, and the rest of the head is generally covered by raffia. The chameleon is often used in ceremonies as it is believed to have magical powers and is held in high regard.

Moses began his artistic career making furniture, but quickly switched to sculpture after an interested European buyer created a demand for his works abroad.
