Richard is a talented wood carver with the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative in Nairobi, Kenya, who sources sustainable wood to create spectacular works of functional art. The craft of African wood carving is also based on a profound appreciation of the area's native trees, with great care being used to use every piece of wood, no matter how small.
